Raster vs Vector Graphics

Raster graphics are drawings. Raster draws 2D objects and is made by pixels. Once it is made it is forgotten by the browser. If you needed to change something, everything has to be redone.

Vector graphics is a language that describes 2D graphics. In vector each shape you draw is its own object. If anything is chaged the browser re-reads the shape.

They are different beacues one way is one object and the other is many. That one object is its whole page. The multiple objects can be moved and changed.
