What is the purpose of Copyright Law?
To protect creators so others do not steal their work.

What are the different copyright categories?
Literary, musical, dramatic, choreographic, pictorial, motion pictures, sound recordings, and architectural.

What category do images fall under?
Pictorial, Graphic, and Sculptural works.

What copyright categories are you allowed to use for your website?
Public Domain, Creative Commons, or things I make.

How can you find images that you are allowed to use? (Chrome)

  1. Go to Google Images.
  2. Search a topic.
  3. Click Tools.
  4. Click Usage Rights and pick Creative Commons.

How can you check to see if an image you are using is legal for you to use? (Chrome)

  1. Right click the image.
  2. Click Search Google for image.
  3. Go to the website it is from.
  4. Check if it says it is free to use.

How will you be contacted if you are caught using a copyrighted image illegally?
You will get a letter or email from a lawyer.

What are the penalties and/or fees for illegally using a copyrighted image?
Fees can be from $750 to $30,000 per image.

What do you need to do to copyright protect your images?
Nothing, you own it when you create it.

How can you find out if someone is using one of your copyrighted images online?
Use [Google Reverse Image Search](https://images.google.com) to find the photo.
